My new love – Fashion Illustrations

Fashion illustrations are like lost art.. In the glossy life of high fashion, it’s lost. Many would not believe that Vogue had covers of fashion illustrations and not supermodels, television or movie actresses till not so long ago.

I found a website that is dedicated to Fashion Illustrations.

Attaching my latest drawing.. Pliss to not criticize.

AC Milan Vs Inter Milan

San Siro, the August Derby

Much awaited as it was, the pre-match build up was explosive. While Alexandre Pato told some reporters he would die to score, Jose Mourinho went shopping for another luxury car a day before the match. He insisted his team were prepared for the derby.

An awesome match it was to watch, if you are an Inter Milan supporter. Its a match I thoroughly enjoyed as I am obviously biased. Goals by Motta, Milito and Maicon. And then one by Dejan Stankovic as well.

Jose seemed pleased but he did not seem to back off. He spent the entire match on the touchline. the first 20 minutes were nail biting with Gattuso, Pirlo and Nesta over the place. Ronaldinho and Pato did their best, but they just weren’t good enough.

I feel bad for Leonardo. He was promoted to coach a team – AC Milan at that. And after the Milan Derby, he is being called all kinds of things. Two matches in the season, a debutant coach and an Italian hottie. Have a heart people.

Wesley Sneijder @ Inter Milan

Wesley Sneijder signed a 4 year contract with Inter Milan. He may not have been jumping about it before the move took off, but he seems geniunely happy once the deal went through. Similar circumstances for Arjen Robben.

I hope that with the arrival of Wesley Sneijder, the playmaker has arrived for Inter and for Jose.

I guess Jose Mourinho and Massimo Moratti must be doing something right,  they have got both Samuel Eto and Wesley Sneijder at a very low transfer fee.

So what did we miss??

In terms of football, I think a lot has happened since I last wrote.

The Premier League as promised had some good matches played. I loved the Chelsea Vs Burnley match. The entire team seemed to come together. The diamond or cherry, whatever that it is, is the formation that worked well on that said day. Knowing English football, that formation does not give me much comfort, but again, I can be wrong.

And yes, Moronland was defeated by Burnley. It was a match that I missed watching but it was a stunning result even for a non-moron like me. The match against Arsenal left me really disappointed. As Arsene Wenger said, Moronland represents anti-football. People watch matches to watch football and not free kicks. But as always, some people can just get away with it. Things that are un-understandable to me.

Serie A and La Liga are now on too. Barcelona and Real Madrid both started their campaigns with impressive vistories. C. Ronaldo (yes, he has been re-christened as he is a non-moron like me) scored on debut, so did Zlatan Ibramovich. I have a feeling its going to be good season to watch this year @ Spain.

Juventus, AC Milan started their campaigns with wins. I did not watch them hence I don’t know whether they were impressive. Inter Milan on the other hand drew their match in spite of Samuel Eto scoring on debut.

There are a few more things that I would like to write in detail about in the successive posts.

Ganpati and my pending backlog

Filed under: Life in Random — Tags: , — priccoli @ 9:03 am

Yes.. I have a pending backlog of like 7-8 posts that I want to write. Life has been hectic due to the Ganpati festival and the associated activities surrounding it.

But without making any excuse, I will be writing very very soon.

Attaching some pics of Ganpati. We get the idol home every year and its a very very happy time for all of us. Superficially thinking, how great is it that you have the Lord himself at your home for the 10 odd days.

I adore her. She is one of my favourite supermodels and will always be. She is gorgeous and she can STILL launch a millions products. Even though it may take a bit of airbrushing, so what!!!

She is gracing several magazine covers this September, and I will get you most of them soon. But here are some pics of the Just Cavalli campaign that she recently shot.

Barclays Premier League – 09-10

Finally after two months without football and the outrageous transfers all over the place, the weekend did not disappoint. Infact, it was a weekend of sorts. The one that marked the beginning of the Barclays Premier League. The bid for the title. The one that makes friends turn into foes. Go figure.

10 games, 10 wins. It was the first time since I started watching football that the entire weekend witnessed zero draws. Well Chelsea almost had one, but thanks to the Ivorian we were rescued in injury time. And I must say, even if I do sound a little biased, both his goals were awezzzzome.

Here is what the fixtures and results looked like -

Weekend 1

And here is how the table looks now. Needless to say, this will change. The shocker of the weekend for me was the Liverpool defeat. Believe me when I say, I prefer Harry Rednapp to Rafa Benitez and I prefer the Spurs to Liverpool, but even to me, that came as a shock.

Also, although out of the two clubs from Manchester I do prefer “City” more, but this season I vow to hate them both equally. My apologies to Mark Hughes, I think he is great but I do think the Russians are way more intelligent than the Arabs and they ofcourse don’t have the “Special One” from Portugal. :) Sorry Savio.. you ain’t gonna win this my friend. :)

It maybe safe to renounce that I am biased – biased toward the Blues and a certain Mr. Mourinho. And you won’t hear a bad word about them from me, neither will I tolerate any:)
